Snøhetta Books

An imprint from Snøhetta

Snøhetta Books is our dedicated publishing platform for curated publications that explore the intersections of architecture, design and art. The titles draw from Snøhetta's vast archival material and are shaped by our in-house teams specializing in graphic design, editorial development, and storytelling.

Each publication complements our completed work, offering deeper insight into the ideas, stories, and people behind our projects. We also collaborate with external writers, artists, and visual communicators to ensure that every book appeals to a wide audience interested in architecture, design, and cultural impact.

Our publications aim to reflect Snøhetta's belief in the power of architecture, design and art to positively influence people and communities, setting the agenda on topics that matter to us.

1 Le Monde Sketchbooks: Snøhetta Books 003

Our first title for external release in Norway and Scandinavia features over 230 works by French artist Frédéric Chaume, who documented the construction of the Le Monde group’s headquarters in Paris through expressive sketches and engravings. The book celebrates the building’s fifth anniversary and offers a rare, poetic perspective on the construction process.

2 Bibliotheca Alexandrina: Snøhetta Books 002

Created to mark the 20th anniversary of the iconic library in Egypt, this book revisits Snøhetta’s first major commission. Originally conceived as a gift for employees and close collaborators, its reception led to a second edition soon to be available to a wider audience.

3 Lascaux IV: Snøhetta Books 004

Set for release in 2026, on the 10th anniversary of the Lascaux IV International Centre for Cave Art, this book explores the immersive design of the museum and its role in preserving prehistoric heritage. It includes essays by renowned French critic and curator Frédéric Migayrou, offering a rich contextual lens on one of our most culturally significant projects in France.
