Keynote by Kjetil Trædal Thorsen at Abu Dhabi sessions

As part of the Abu Dhabi Sessions, organized by strategic design studio Slash, Snøhetta's co-founder Kjetil Trædal Thorsen, will hold a keynote lecture on Saturday 8 June 2024 at 18.00, ending it with a dialogue with the audience. 

The lecture is held during the Final Draft weekend, a three day-mini festival of design/culture/creativity-focused sessions looking at what makes good design good.

Co-founder and architect Kjetil Trædal Thorsen is part of the Abu Dhabi sessions on Saturday 8th and 9th of June.

Continuous state of reinvention

During the lecture, Kjetil Trædal Thorsen will take the audience on a journey through Snøhetta’s 35-year-old history and philosophy. Highlighting the impact of culture institutions and libraries on society and for building thriving communities, he will provide insight into some Snøhetta’s most defining projects such as the new library in Alexandria, Egypt and the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet to the recently completed Beijing City Library and the Royal Diriyah Opera House due to be constructed in Saudi Arabia.
