Intro
In 2007, Snøhetta was commissioned for an office building on the west side of Oslo Central Station, on the city’s harbourfront. The building’s site has a paramount position in the new Barcode masterplan, with view of the Oslo Opera house and surrounding fjords.

The first two storeys house shops and refreshment areas. The second to eleventh floor are office spaces, and floors 12 to 15 hold a canteen, conference rooms and green roof terraces.

The 15 story building has a vertical split that rotates through the building and links the opposite sides in a sculptural internal structure.
