LOVT Vibe Munich
Office building with characteristic identity

2023–2027

Architecture

Introduction

The LOVT Vibe office building in Munich will be an eye-catcher in the heart of the Werksviertel urban quarter in Munich. Situated next to and partly underneath an existing bridge-like office building, the so-called "Medienbrücke", the layout of the upper floors is a reaction to the orientation of this building. Large, green terraces ensure maximum of daylight in the offices and create space to relax. This gives the LOVT Vibe building a characteristic identity.

After winning the architectural competition, Snøhetta has been working on the LOVT Vibe building since spring 2023.

The new hybrid timber-concrete structure will contain retail, co-working and event spaces, offices, as well as parking and will also offer mobility and neighbourhood services. The spaces are also characterised by its adaptability. LOVT Vibe is designed in such a way that it can respond quickly and efficiently to future changes in use.

At the same time, sustainable and recycled materials as well as innovative technologies contribute to the sustainability strategy of the project. PV panels will be used for sustainable energy production. In combination with innovative building service engineering like ice energy storage systems this will reduce the CO2 footprint of the building significantly.

The variety of different uses and activities will contribute to a vibrant new city district. A public square in front of the building and its characteristic appearance will define a new entrance to this new lively urban quarter.

Our design for the LOVT Vibe building focusses on sustainability and flexibility. In addition, the building responds to the local conditions, respects and appreciates the existing neighbouring buildings in the Werksviertel and thus creates an appearance with a strong identity. The use of timber and efficiently utilised concrete ensures a forward-looking and efficient use of materials, which enables a long-lasting and sustainable solution with the lowest possible carbon footprint for an innovative building.
