People, Process, Projects
Exhibition at AIA Portland | Center for Architecture
2016
Intro
In 2016, Snøhetta opened its first full-scale exhibition in the U.S. at the Center for Architecture in Portland, Oregon. Created by the designers themselves, the playful exhibition allows visitors to go behind the scenes and meet Snøhetta.
People, Process, Projects invites visitors into the studio for a view of Snøhetta's office culture, working process and finished works. Prominently featuring two Oregon-based projects currently in their community engagement phases, the exhibition encourages visitors to participate in the design process for the upcoming Willamette Falls Riverwalk and the James Beard Public Market. An informal Snøhetta workshop space features over 200 architectural drawings hand sketches, and process models.
First presented at the Danish Architecture Centre in Copenhagen in the summer of 2015, the exhibition re-opened in Portland on April 17, 2016, to a newly-expanded Center for Architecture.
