Craig Dykers and Elaine Molinar to present a lecture at UT Austin
Towards a Peaceable Kingdom
In their lecture, "Towards a Peaceable Kingdom," Craig Dykers and Elaine Molinar will look at works that take into account the geological, ecological, and cultural layers of a site, considering the many living species beyond our own.
Landscape does exist without architecture, but architecture cannot exist without landscape. The ground beneath us holds the history and identity of a site, and it must inform and actively participate in its transformation. The works featured in this lecture take into account the geological, ecological, and cultural layers of a site, considering the many living species beyond our own. Snøhetta designs for people, flora, and fauna in equal measure.
This lecture will take place at UT Austin's Jessen Auditorium on September 11, 2023. For more information on the lecture, see here.
